Singing Rock 360° Shock Absorber Phario — Via Ferrata Shock Absorber Set (for rent at Mort's Rentals)
Compact, reliable fall protection designed specifically for via ferrata. The Singing Rock Phario 360° shock absorber combines a low-profile energy absorber with a full 360° swivel connector to reduce twisting and snagging while you climb. Built for repeated use, the Phario features high-strength webbing and a controlled-tear energy absorber that limits peak forces on the body in the event of a fall. The integrated nylon connector loop and robust stitching provide secure attachment to harnesses, while the swivel action keeps the lanyard properly oriented on exposed terrain and complex anchor lines.
Key features:
Purpose-built for via ferrata: energy-absorbing construction tailored to the unique dynamic loads of protected climbs.
360° swivel connector: reduces twisting and tangling for smoother movement and safer positioning.
Controlled-tear energy absorber: lowers peak forces transmitted to the climber during a fall.
Durable materials and stitching: designed for multiple rental uses with regular inspection.
Compact and lightweight: minimally intrusive on climbs while still providing essential protection.
CE 1019, EN 958:2024, EN 12275, UIAA certifications
If the schock absorber is activated the the renter will be billed a replacment cost for the via gerrate system at $190
Recommended use and safety:
Use only as part of a complete via ferrata system with an appropriate climbing harness and helmet.
Renters must inspect the device before use and follow all manufacturer instructions and local via ferrata regulations.
